Supporting Our Community Beyond Immigration Services
At Migrate Wise Ltd, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing professional immigration advice. Giving back to the community, supporting meaningful initiatives, and helping migrants access essential services are central to our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
As part of this commitment, Migrate Wise was proud to sponsor the Sri Lankan Mobile Consular Service held on 26 September 2026 at Te Awa School in Napier, organised by the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Zealand.
Bringing Essential Consular Services Closer to the Community
The event was conducted under the leadership of His Excellency Mr Prasanna Gamage, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to New Zealand, together with officials from the Sri Lankan High Commission in Wellington.
The initiative provided a valuable opportunity for Sri Lankan nationals living in Napier and the wider Hawke’s Bay region to access essential consular services closer to home, reducing the need to travel to Wellington.
The programme also created an opportunity for members of the Sri Lankan community to engage directly with the High Commissioner and consular officials, seek information, and discuss matters important to Sri Lankans living in New Zealand.
Free Immigration Consultations by Migrate Wise
In addition to sponsoring the event, Yasasi Gunarathne, Principal Licensed Immigration Adviser at Migrate Wise Ltd (IAA Licence No. 202500637), personally participated in the programme and offered free immigration consultations to community members attending the event.
Through this initiative, attendees had the opportunity to discuss their New Zealand immigration concerns, seek professional guidance, and gain a better understanding of potential visa and residence pathways.
By providing complimentary consultations, Migrate Wise aimed to make professional immigration guidance more accessible while supporting Sri Lankan migrants and families navigating New Zealand’s immigration system.
